Zach Frazier is an experimental self-publishing artist who curates and shares narratives and histories excluded by traditional publishing. Working collaboratively across mediums and disciplines, Zach’s work challenges traditional modes of collaboration, creation, and exhibition. Acting in opposition to historical models of client-and-contractor, Zach uses a process that enables collaborative flow where artists, writers, historians, and more act as co-authors. Zach serves as the assistant professor of graphic design at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. They are the founder and publisher of Astringent Press (ASTR), which they operate as a resident of the Charlotte Street Foundation’s ArtsBlock Residency.
