Kholoud Sawaf is an award-winning theatre artist and filmmaker. She was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, and has worked in theatre and television in Syria, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and the United States. Credits include Every Brilliant Thing (upcoming), Much Ado About Nothing (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival), and We Are Here a short documentaries about the Marshallese experience in Northwest Arkansas; Hold Fast (Curbside Theatre), a social service project launched during the global pandemic to serve communities in need in Northwest Arkansas. Kholoud is a recipient of the USA Artist Award (2024) and Creative Impact Award (2022).
