Colin McLaughlin is a community-engaged playwright and composer based in St. Louis, Missouri. His plays lift up stories of people power, solidarity, and social change, often bringing St. Louis civil rights and workers rights history to the stage. Colin frequently collaborates with activists, organizers, and members of the labor movement, harnessing the power of art to advocate for social and economic justice. As a producer, he strives to broaden who partakes in creative spaces on and off the stage. Colin is also a multi-instrumentalist and a lifelong songwriter who has worked extensively as a composer and musical director. He is a founding member of the Action Art Collaborative and the Solid Sound Collective, and a graduate of the Artist Leadership Fellow Program with Mid-America Arts Alliance.
